Recently I was interviewed for the podcast Therapy for Guys, created and hosted by Quique Autrey, a teen and family therapist in Katy, Texas. The podcast’s tagline is, “A psychotherapist explores men’s issues relating to mental health, science, philosophy and spirituality.”

Beyond Theology: Christianity, Nonduality, and the Play of Existence
And here’s the description:
In this episode, I have a conversation with Matt Cardin. We discuss Alan Watts’s book Beyond Theology: The Art of Godmanship. We explore various themes including: the Creator/creature distinction, the philosophy of nonduality, “scientism”, and spiritual disciplines that help us become more “accident prone” to receiving divine grace.
This was a particularly interesting interview for me because it’s the first one I’ve given that doesn’t focus in any way on horror. The conversation was wholly devoted to the religious, spiritual, and philosophical matters described above. In terms of my inner life and creative, philosophical, and spiritual directions in recent weeks, months, and years, this is entirely appropriate.
